ITINERARY OF YOUR STAY
We manage Goose hunting trips in Hungary in collaboration with our two territories. Consequently, all our trips are customized, starting from 3 full days of hunting. However, we require a non-hunting period of 2 to 3 days between two groups of hunters. The schedule is arranged accordingly.
Typical 3-Day Stay : Day of Arrival, Welcome directly at your accommodation if arriving by car, or at Budapest airport with transfer. Presentation of the trip, dinner, and overnight stay.
Hunting Days : Early morning, Coffee, tea, and biscuits before dawn. Your guides will pick you up with all the equipment, set up the decoys, and start the morning flight at first light. The duration of the flight depends on your preferences and the bird movements (and thus the weather). Return to the accommodation for a hearty breakfast. Rest. Evening flight. Dinner and overnight stay.
If desired: Non-stop hunting all day with a picnic basket and drinks, hunting hares and pheasants or even roe deer does in the afternoon.
Last Day : Departure after breakfast.
During the morning flight, depending on the areas scouted by the guides the previous evening, you will be posted in ditches, reeds, or fields in "coffin blinds." The evening flight will typically take place in reeds or woodlands, on the edges of ponds.
GAME HUNTED
The priority is geese. For several seasons, the number of greater white-fronted geese has been significantly increasing, to the detriment of the tundra bean geese! Greylag geese are more prevalent in November and early December. Except during cold periods when you will see teal and northern shovelers, you can hunt a majority of mallards.
We do not impose quotas on geese and ducks. However, we aim to remain reasonable with the harvests... 30 to 40 per hunting day, per blind is more than sufficient!

During the day, another advantage of our territories is the opportunity to hunt small game: hares and pheasants. You can enjoy walk-up hunting with the guides' dogs, or stalk one or two roe deer does.
Hunting Period
End October to middle February
The weather and migration patterns will determine the best periods... Generally, there is a strong presence of geese in November, mid-December, and from January 10th onwards.
Hunting Zones
Over fifteen years ago, our Hungarian friends introduced us to this style of hunting. Since then, the Hunting Pleasure team has partnered with an excellent territory in Eastern Hungary. This area borders a large, wet national park and, perhaps most importantly, we have recently secured exclusive management and hunting rights for 15 years on a territory near the Tisza River and Lake in the Central-East of the country.
Eastern Hungary Area : Our Eastern territory comprises 18,000 hectares of agricultural land, with numerous small lakes each around ten hectares. This area borders a wetland national park dedicated to wildlife and aquatic management and is strictly prohibited for hunting. Geese spend the night here before heading to nearby feeding fields in the morning and returning to the water in the evening. These are well-known migration routes...
Central-East Hungary area : The agreement for the second territory in Central-Eastern Hungary is recent. It allows us to manage the territory ourselves, create game crops, and establish resting areas without hunting pressure. This 6,500-hectare area borders the Tisza River and Lake, known for the near-constant presence of thousands of geese and ducks. It includes 280 hectares of lakes, large cultivation areas, and feeding fields. We will also manage all the game here, with hunting opportunities for hares, pheasants, and even roe deer during the day, and wild boar hunting from blinds in the evening.

REFERENCES
Many groups return regularly, with an excellent average harvest. The conviviality of the accommodations is also important... However, success depends on the weather, the hunters' skill, and their ability to remain still in the blinds. Never forget this!
COUNTRY INFORMATION
Hungary is a small country divided by the Danube River: a vast cereal plain to the east and more hilly and wooded areas to the west and south.
Budapest, the capital, is a beautiful city worth discovering!
Hungary is part of the European Union, but its currency remains the Hungarian forint. Throughout the country, even in rural areas, you can use your bank card. Alternatively, you can exchange money at specialized exchange offices throughout the country, but avoid exchanging money at the airport as it is very expensive.
The climate in Hungary is continental, quite dry, with low rainfall in autumn, except for fog (excellent for geese!). Winters are becoming less cold.
TOURISM
In winter, there are few interesting tourist sites to visit in the goose hunting region. Even the many thermal centers in Hungary are often closed. However, there is Budapest, nicknamed the Pearl of the Danube, the capital of Hungary. This European capital is renowned for its beauty as well as its thermal springs. The city center can be explored on foot. Don't hesitate to visit!
OBSERVERS NO-HUNTER
Observers are welcome. However, in our goose hunting regions, there are few tourist attractions, whether in Hortobágy (Eastern Hungary) or Lake Tisza (Central-East), especially in winter... Companions can join the hunters (although staying still in the blind is essential) or take walks along the lakes.
