ITINERARY OF YOUR STAY
Our Hare Drive stays in Hungary are customizable based on your availability and preferences. Generally, a stay includes 2 days of hunting, exceptionally 3 days.
Typical stay: Arrival day at the hunting area by car or by plane to Budapest. We will pick you up at the airport. Transfer, dinner, and overnight stay. Hunting days: Hearty breakfast around 7 a.m., transfer to the territory, and almost continuous hunting day with just a short lunch break. You will walk in the plains, accompanied by organizers, beaters, porters, and their dogs. Some hunters will be stationed at the end of the fields. Dinner and overnight stay.
Last day: return after breakfast.
GAME HUNTED
The hare, completely wild and natural, is in very large numbers within the territories selected by Hunting Pleasure in Hungary. Twice a year, we conduct counts. On average, 3000 to 4000 hares per territory with a harvesting quota of one quarter. You will also see pheasants with the possibility of harvesting a small number.
Please note that the game bags in two days of hunting can be significant, even very significant… Depending on the group's wishes, 200 to 400 hares, sometimes more!
YOUR ACCOMMODATION
In the Hungarian plain, hunting lodges are quite rare, so we generally offer excellent quality hotels with good services. *** or **** hotel, less than 20 minutes from the hunting area, with double or single rooms, full board. For lunch, a hot meal is provided in the field.
WEAPONS & EQUIPMENT
Importing your firearms into Hungary is easy. No prior application is required, you just need your European Firearms Pass or SIA. On-site, we have invested in more than twenty 12-gauge over-and-under and side-by-side shotguns. Available for rent. Also available on-site are good Italian cartridges (size 4 & 2 shot).
The climate is continental and you will be walking for a good part of the day, so don't burden yourself with too many warm clothes. A backpack with spare clothes is essential, which you can leave in the vehicles that will follow you all day. We recommend good walking shoes rather than boots.
TO REACH THE HUNTING AREA
By plane, the destination airport is Budapest. Numerous flights connect the Hungarian capital daily from everywhere in the world. Upon arrival in Budapest, you can either rent a car at the airport or use our transfer service to your hunting area (on average 1.5 to 2 hours of travel).
By car, it is highway all the way from Europe except for the last few kilometers. Regardless of the territory we choose together, expect approximately 1500/1600 km from Western Europe.

The Hunting Pleasure team manages, in collaboration with local authorities, more than twenty hare hunting territories in Hungary. Typically, only one large group of hunters per territory, ensuring you are the first regardless of your stay date!
Hunting Zones
Present in Hungary for over twenty years, the Hunting Pleasure team has specialized in organizing hare battue hunting trips for groups of friends, usually between 12 and 15 hunters.
We have selected around fifteen plains territories, known for their high hare density and sustainable population management. The hunting pressure in these areas is low, with typically only one group of hunters per year in a battue. The annual harvest quotas for each territory are determined based on spring and summer counts. All these territories are located in the East, Southeast, and South of the country, to the east of the Danube.
You will spend the entire day hunting in the plains, assisted by your guides and their dogs, trackers, and carriers. A hot lunch break in the field will pleasantly interrupt a full day of hunting.

Prices
The majority of our hare battue hunting trips are designed for 2 full days of hunting and 3 nights of stay. The price depends on the number of hunters and, most importantly, the final harvest. We offer package prices that include all services as well as the hares.
Example: 12 hunters - 2 days - 3 nights - a bag of 250 hares for €1,600 per hunter.

COUNTRY INFORMATION
Hungary is a small country divided by the Danube River: a vast cereal plain to the east, and more hilly and wooded areas to the west and south. Budapest, the capital, is a beautiful city worth discovering! Hungary is part of the European Union, but its currency remains the Hungarian forint. Throughout the country, even in rural areas, you can use your bank card. Alternatively, you can exchange money at specialized exchange offices throughout the country, but avoid exchanging money at the airport as it is very expensive. The climate in Hungary is continental, often quite warm and dry.
TOURISM
Budapest, nicknamed the Pearl of the Danube, is the capital of Hungary. This European city is renowned for its beauty and its thermal springs. The city center is perfect for walking tours. Don't hesitate to explore!
OBSERVER NO-HUNTER
Observers are welcome. They can enjoy the warm hospitality and friendliness of our Hungarian friends and participate in the hunting days. However, before or after the hunt, take some time to visit Budapest, a magnificent city.
